The construction of the 7/8" square edge slats on these shades allows for adequate room ventilation and still permits just a touch of sunlight. The high insulating factor of wood means considerably cooler rooms in the summer months and minimal heat loss in the chilling winter months resulting in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere all year round.

Aerolux Outdoor Shades are easy to install and simple to operate. Made from only select North American Basswood, the Aerolux Outdoor Shade resists warping and sagging. Our Aerocrylic plasticized oil stains contain fungicide to help prevent mildewing. These stains allow for year-round outdoor use as well as indoor applications to enhance the look of any porch or room in your home.

The basswood splints are cut and hand-smoothed in our factory and are woven together with our sturdy fisherman's seine twine which has a greater resistance to abrasion and stretching than synthetic yarns. "Wind Cords" are also provided to guard your porch shades against wind damage and provide you with many, many years of exceptional shading for your home.

The heavy-duty steel plated hardware has nylon rollers for noiseless raising and lowering. The easy installation of the Aerolux Outdoor Shades allows for versatility beyond your expectations. Installed simply with open screws eyes or our newest feature, the "Fixed Headrail," the Aerolux Outdoor Shade can be utilized in any area of your home to compliment every decor, from casual to contemporary The "Fixed Headrail" offers the regular Aerolux Outdoor Shade mountable with a 1-¾" headrail and finished off with a bottom molding, and a valance molding, if applicable.

Aeroshade's outdoor shades are available in 17 Aerocrylic plasticized oil stains. They can, however, also be ordered in any of our 22 enamel colors at a small price upcharge or they can be custom colored to match any specific area in Your home.
